About the Pastor

Johnnie and Lahoma Loar retired from Texas in 2001 and moved to Vermont. They have served on the staff of the Green Mountain Baptist Association as the Mission Mobilization Coordinators. Their primary ministry is to help match up volunteer teams from the Bible Belt with ministry needs at small churches in Vermont.
When Pastor Bob Spriggs left in 2007 to return to seminary, the Loars assumed the leadership of the small mission.

About the Church

The original church in Waterbury began with Pastor Dan Nicholas as the Central Vermont Baptist Church. Though the ministry touched many lives, the work was discontinued due to lack of funds. The work was restarted in April of 2005 by Dr. H.B. Graves and was renamed the LifeWay Bible Fellowship. Many contacts had been made in the area, but due to poor health, the Graves’ ministry was cut short, and they were forced to return to Texas.
Due to the hard work and prayers of these and many other servants of God around the country, Lifeway Bible Fellowship has now become an active church with a small core group. We dress casually for our worship services. Come and see what God is doing at LifeWay Bible Fellowship!
