    This year the offering will support the following special projects:
    40% will be used for a church plant in the Shelburne area
    40% will be used to help meet emergency needs of pastors
    20% will be used to support our Church Development Fund

    All teens in grades 7-12 are invited to a youth led worship service focusing on helping teens discover a passion for God. If you are a teen and are interested in sharing a testimony or in offering a piece of special music, contact the GMBA office at 802-476-2026. The music will be led by Change of Heart, the youth praise band from Faith Community Church.

    Help the association conduct business. Hear exciting reports of what God is doing around the state. Hugh Diggins, pastor from Reformed Bible Church will give the sermon. Melva Davidson will be sharing about a new partnership with France. George Sweet will be leading a breakout session on evangelism. Kathie Aiken will be leading a breakout session on prayer walking. We will be taking up a special offering to support the annual Borders Mission Offering. Child care and lunch is provided.

  • Pastor and Wive's Mission Education Dinner

    Come  enjoy a complimentary dinner and learn about how Southern Baptists fund missionary work through the Cooperative Program. The presentation will be led by Ray Allen of the BCNE. After the presentation he will also be taking general questions from pastors about how to increase stewardship in your local church. You will also have a chance to interact with him after the program about specific resources you can use to teach stewardship in your church.

  • Pastors and Elders Training and Discussion Session
    Topic: Biblical Discipleship, Part Three
    May 15, 2008, 10 AM to Noon, followed by lunch
    Baptist Fellowship, Randolph


    Come enjoy learning together with other pastors how you can lead your church toward a more biblical view of effective discipleship. This discussion will be "process" focused instead of "program" focused. It will be led by Neal Davidson, Pastoral Development Consultant for the BCNE. The focus of this session will be "What Does the Bible Say about the Emotional and Relational Aspect of Discipleship?" and participants are asked to come with some thoughts in mind regarding this topic. You do not have to have attended the previous two sessions in order to come to this one.

    Led by Kathie Aiken and other prayerwalkers. All churches in each region are encouraged to attend. The group will be uUsing Dr. Randy Sprinkle's book "Follow Me," which explores the biblical basis of  prayerwalking and how God can use it to transform our communities. Follwing the seminar we will prayerwalk the streets of the town for 45 minutes before regrouping to end at 12 noon. A copy of the life-changing Bible study, "Follow Me," will be given to each participant.

    Come interact with dozens of other teens as they fellowship, play and encourage each other in their Christian faith. Cost is $15 per teen which includes a camp t-shirt and a light supper each evening.

    We will also have a special leadership track meeting earlier in the day for teens interested in becoming leaders in their youth group, contact the church office for the time and details of that special leadership track.
