Associate Pastor/Church Planting Intern Positions
Faith
Community Church, Barre, VT
This five year old church plant is already busy planting other churches
in nearby towns. Averaging 120 in Sunday worship, this church looks for
young men who desire to plant a church in Vermont and invites them to
come serve the FCC congregation for 12 months in an associate pastor
role. FCC then spins that man off as a church plant to some community
that needs a church. FCC commits a portion of their budget to help the new church
get started. During the internship, FCC provides rent free housing for the church planters at the newly established Hoover Center for Church Planting (utilities not included). FCC also pays the interns $100 a week and the interns raise the rest of their salary on their own. Most interns are also eligible for $1200 per month in support from the North American
Mission Board and those that come through the Nehemiah Program can receive much more. Most candidates serve in a
bivocational situation so that they can meet people and learn to interact
with Vermonters before trying to start a church for Vermonters. Contact Terry Dorsett at terrydorsett@charter.net for more details.
