Mettowee Church Dedicates New Addition

On October 18, 2009 the Mettowee Church of West Pawlet dedicated their new addition. Over 75 people from the local congregation and from sister churches within the Green Mountain Baptist Association gathered for the celebration. The ladies of the church prepared a full ham dinner that even included hot fudge sundaes for dessert. Then Lyandon Warren led the dedication service in the adjoining sanctuary. The addition expanded and improved the fellowship hall and included a brand new kitchen, improved bathrooms, a nursery and an handicapped bathroom. Dewey Aiken, GMBA missionary spoke about the mission teams that had helped with the work, as well as a representative from North Carolina Baptists who sent multiple teams to assist in the project. Tad and Annis Perry, members of the original church, shared the testimony of how the former church voted to give the property to the GMBA in order for a new church to be started in the facility. They expressed amazement at how God has blessed that act of faith. Terry Dorsett, GMBA director, gave the dedication prayer.
