Photography is way more important than design in e-commerce... 👇 Sharing a case study of my project for Fitpulse, which is an excellent example of fantastic photography and design. I get asked often about which is more important - images or design. The answer, in my opinion, is straightforward - Photography 👀 Why? 🙄 - One image can tell a 1000 things - It's better to show a benefit rather than write about it - Images create way more impact - We trust way more when something has been photographed in use And many, many more reasons... But you know what's even better—a good image with a fantastic copy overlay. Design should be invisible and only used to reinforce the message. Why are you frustrated with your creative agencies ... 👇 Back in 2013, there were no best practices and all we had were simple dirty experiments using business reports. This is how you come up with a winning main image...👇 Here are simple rules you should follow to have the highest chance of getting to the truth when polling main images:1. Use a proper tool and test feature - my favorite is ProductPinion search simulation 2. Choose the right competitors - they need to match most of your features, same design style, color, bonus items, etc. 3. Keep the price, title, and rating the same across all options4.
